Cape Tribulation is located in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest, about 2.5 hours drive north of Cairns across the Daintree River Ferry.

Cape Tribulation and its surrounding locations of Bloomfield, Cow Bay and Thornton Beach are favourites with backpackers looking to get closer to nature. There are a number of excellent backpacker hostels in the area and plenty of beachfront campgrounds.
