Customer Testimonials

" Rebel Sport has always believed in print advertising. It has consistently worked for us, both locally and nationally. This year, however, we have seen a great increase in results through The Cairns Post and because of this, we have invested 35% more through both inserts and advertising. Our philosophy is to use either half or full pages, promoting major sales and themed product drives. In addition we like to be involved in local community events, in particular sporting features and will use The Cairns Post to promote these – with exceptional results. The networking opportunities are fantastic and having the opportunity to attend functions organised by the Cairns Post has enabled Rebel to catch up with other local businesses to discuss new ideas and ways to attract more customers. Our local Cairns Post representative has proven to be a real asset to us. Peta keeps on top of things, bringing us the latest ideas and initiatives, managing all our national bookings for us and providing up-to-date reporting and making sure we have the best of attention at all times. I would like to thank Peta for the exceptional service, advise and help we have received, without Peta our advertising would have been difficult and no-where near as successful."

“ For our events we always advertise in all four types of Media – Print, TV, Radio and Web. In 2009 for the “NQ Wedding and Formal Expo” we found that the Cairns Eye produced the highest amount of attention for the event. Many of our guests directly read the magazine whilst at work and then relayed the information to friends and family alike. The result was high attendance, good event awareness and quality over quantity in our visiting guests. The excellent service and value for money reinforces the decision to advertise in this publication. We have been repeatedly happy with this publication.”

“ CEC Property concentrates mostly on print advertising. The Cairns Post constantly exceed our expectations and the real estate guide is an ideal vehicle for promoting our products in this market. We see a noticeable increase in enquiries and sales with each advertisement. Our Account Manager is very professional, creative and eager to propose new ideas and is always willing to help where he can! We will continue to use the Cairns Post, because it’s a proven marketing tool! ”

“ Just a note to say thanks very much for contacting us, then including us in the Cairns Post Business Week ‘The Mining Issue’. The positioning of our banner advert looks great. I’m saving a copy, and hope to pick up another today as well. Thanks again."

“ I recommend all my sellers advertise in The Cairns Post – it exposes them to a massive number of potential buyers who are actively searching in their market place. For any seller serious about selling their home there is no better way than taking it to Auction on a Go To Sold campaign. The return on their money is huge and it gives their property the attention it deserves. 59 – 61 Charles Street, Parramatta Park Open Homes were attended by over 120 groups of buyers in the 4 weeks it was advertised in the Weekend Post and Sold under the hammer on Auction day. Quite simply if you want the best price, you cannot afford to miss out on being in the Realestate.com.au liftout on the Go To Sold campaign.”

Kianna Lafferty - Sales consultant & Auctioneer

“ In my opinion; endeavouring to sell a property without a GO TO SOLD marketing program not only makes it very difficult for an agent to create any traction in the marketplace, it also creates a great deal of undue stress for the property owners. Buyers in today's market see GO TO SOLD advertising as an invitation to inspect, and without that volume of enquiry, a property will sit much, much longer before it is sold. I recommend the Cairns Post and the GO TO SOLD program.”

“ Thanks for all your help with this. We very much appreciate yours and The Cairns Post’s generosity. I have been told by my colleagues in Cairns that the Forum was a great success with women gaining so much out of it. Can you please pass on our thanks to your colleagues for me on behalf of BCNA. It’s been wonderful working with you and I hope we can do it again. Kind regards.”

“ The Hepatitis Council of Qld is a not-for-profit community organisation based in Brisbane, which provides support and information on viral hepatitis to the entire population of Queensland. As such, it is very important that we actively promote and advertise our services across a range of mediums, including print, radio, TV and the internet. We have had great success in advertising in the Cairns Post – not only have the staff provided us with the highest level of friendly and prompt service, we have had a direct and immediate increase in the number of calls to our phone line. In the Monday following our ad in the Weekend Post, we had just over double the amount of calls we usually take in one day, and these were specifically from people who identified they were calling as a result of the ad. The number of callers phoning our service for the first time and stating that they ‘didn’t know the Council existed’ has been a real wake-up call to the fact that the Cairns Post is able to reach sections of the general public that we have previously not been able to. We are looking at running another advertisement in the Cairns Post as part of our next awareness campaign, and would strongly urge all other organisations, whether they are a small not-for-profit health service such as ours, or a large business looking to expand, to use the Post as part of their next marketing campaign."

" Vision Hotels and Resorts, which operate The Lakes Cairns Resort and Spa and Paradise Palms Resort & Country Club, advertise in all four types of Media. During 2009 we have successfully used The Cairns Eye, Cairns Post and Cairns.com.au as part of our local marketing strategies for both our properties. The Cairns Post and Cairns Eye are used to promote our accommodation specials. We have received a larger percentage of bookings per dollar investment, than with other forms of media we have used in the past. We held our inaugural Wedding Expo at Paradise Palms Resort & Country Club in February 2009 and survey results from attendees, indicated that 50% of guests attended in response to advertising in both the Cairns Post and Cairns Eye. A data base of over 1,000 locals was developed as a result of an online competition on Cairns.com.au, with minimal financial investment. Our target audience for both properties directly read the Cairns Post, Cairns Eye and Cairns.com.au and relay the information to family and friends. We have received an excellent response to all our advertising campaigns to date this year. The service we receive and value for money reinforces our decision to advertise within their publications or online. We have been repeatedly happy with our decision and they will continue to be an integral component of our marketing strategy. "
