Church with a view for sale
Divine views of the South Johnstone River are key attractions of an old church at East Innisfail
The church was once a place of worship for Seventh Day Adventists but was used as a residence for many years.
Last year it was badly damaged by Cyclone Larry and is now in need of repairs and restoration.
Other attractions are beautiful high ceilings as well as the glass panelled French doors and a mezzanine floor.
Billie Hammett from Ray White Rural Innisfail said floors in the church and attached social hall were timber and needed repolishing to complement the old building.
"At the moment there are tarps over the roof to stop the rain and it does require repair and reroofing to Council Standards," Mr Hammett said.
"The land area is 2199sqm with a flat area at the bottom of the hill that would make this property ideal for unit development with Council consent."
The auction will be held on site at 72 Mourilyan Rd, Innisfail, starting at noon. For more information call 0412 465 795 or 4061 6700.
Huge potential: This old church needs work after being damaged in Cyclone Larry but provides picturesque views of Innisfail.
