Corey goes international
Police were called after the last party he threw, but the nation's most notorious hell-raiser, Corey Delaney, is about to take his shirtless antics on the road in a three-city rave which will hit Sydney next month.
More terrifying are promoters' plans to go global with the juvenile delinquent, pitching him as an international drawcard at a series of parties in the UK later this year.
The 16-year-old, who came to fame after a party he plugged on his MySpace page spiralled into near riot conditions for Melbourne police last month, is now training as a DJ in preparation for his new life as a professional party boy.
Bankrolled by paid appearances on Channel 9's A Current Affair, which staged a party for a report on the teen which aired last night, Delaney is to hit Sydney next.
With celeb spruiker Max Markson advising him, Worthington will front an "all age" shindig here on February 23, before similar events in Brisbane on March 8, then back in Melbourne - for Delaney's 17th birthday - on March 21.
The Aussie gigs will be followed by a tour of seaside spots in England in June, including Blackpool, Bournemouth and Torquay, Markson said.
"The Times (of London) are already on to it. The UK and America are the two big markets interested in him right now," Markson said.
The rebel reveller has ditched plans to take up a carpentry apprenticeship after quitting school at the end of last year.
"He's decided to make the most of this opportunity and if it doesn't work out has told me he'll just get a job," Markson told Confidential yesterday.
"Any parent would be proud to have a son like that. Committed to get a job if he has to."
