DON Benjamin couldn't believe his eyes when he took this amazing sunrise shot in the Torres Strait.

Looking over Wednesday, Tuesday and Horn Islands at about 6.15am on Sunday, February 3, Mr Benjamin says the photo portrays the Torres Strait as the tranquil, tropical paradise that it is.

"This photo is pretty much typical of sunrises in the Torres Strait this time of year," he said.
