Statement: A love of the Edmonton area and a passion to see it evolve into a thriving community offering a full raft of services and employment opportunities are the key driving forces behind Kaye Kingham’s decision to contest Division 2 in the Cairns Regional Council election.

As part of Kevin Byrne’s Unity Team, Kaye believes her progressive management skills will allow her to serve the community of Edmonton well as it copes with significant growth and the need to provide increased services and facilities.

Originally from the Atherton Tableland where she and husband Geoffrey raised their two daughters, Kaye is a permanent resident and business owner in Edmonton.

Kaye has always been actively involved with her children’s education.

Her involvement with Home Based Education allowed her to set a precedent promoting the change of Queensland’s schooling legislation.

She was a FNQ representative for curriculum development with the Education Department and also represented her district with the Cairns School of Distance Education P&C.
