UPDATED: With the easing rain overnight, the following roads were reopened this morning.

Cairns police have urged motorists to use extreme caution on the roads because of poor conditions and flooding.
Captain Cook Highway between Aeroglen & Caravonica Roundabouts is now open in both directions. Drivers are urged to travel at 60km.

Captain Cook Highway Machans, Holloways & Yorkeys are closed due to flooding, expected to be cleared around lunch time.

Rex Highway between Mossman & Julatten. Freshwater Creek @ Lower Freshwater, expected to be open this morning, but urging motorists to take care with debris on the road.

Kuranda Range has now reopened, however extreme care is needed as there are a number of reports of land slides and debris on the road.
Gillies Highway, Peets Bridge, Goldsborough is open, but the Gillies is still blocked by boulders.
All roads in the north have considerable water run off and motorists are urged to take care of flood water and debris on the roads.
Police and emergency services are concerned with the number of vehicles disobeying road closure signs.
At least four vehicles have come to grief on the Captain Cook Highway between the Caravonica and Yorkeys Knob roundabouts whilst heading south, yesterday afternoon.
Drivers are crossing barricades and becoming stranded in rising flood waters. Car insurance is compromised, not to mention personal safety issues and the unnecessary burden placed on emergency services to attempt a rescue.
Police are issuing on the spot fines of $90 for people contravening road closure signs. This ticket carries a 3 demerit points.
Police are urging people to contact Main Roads Department on 131940 or SES on 132500 for recording of road closures. Some start off with the Peninsular Development Road, however they continue to other more local areas.
