Statement: Jennifer Brownie hopes voters will choose to bring a new face into the new Tablelands Regional Council.
The 45-year-old resident of Ravenshoe says she understands the needs of families with a 10 year old daughter at home.
"Balancing the needs of community, business and the environment will be the challenge for this new council."
"Even though all the Tableland communities will be under the one umbrella it`s important that we consult with the community by having council meetings and/or forums in all four current council locations."
Jennifer may be a new face to council but she has a breadth of experience in business management and has a Bachelor of Business majoring in Rural Management from the University of Queensland.
Recently she has been working with industry groups to establish the Centre for Sustainable Industries and Tourism.
"I will work full time as a councilor with positive representation."
