Ute crashes into fence
AN OUT of control ute ploughed through two fences and into children's play equipment yesterday afternoon.
The HSV Commodore ute, believed to be driven by a 17-year-old P-plater, crashed on Hamilton St, Edmonton, opposite Sugarworld about 5.30pm.
Residents were sent scrambling for safety when the car smashed through their front gardens, first going through both fences of one yard and coming to rest among play equipment.
Police are still investigating the incident but residents said they believed the driver lost control coming around the corner at high speed.
One resident said he had seen numerous drivers lose control of their cars after negotiating the tricky
corner.
No one was hurt in the accident.
