Iconic: Rusty's Markets has firmly established its place in Cairns' history.

Rusty's Markets is one of Cairns' longest standing icons.

For over 30 years, Rusty's has been bringing the freshest fruit, vegetables and other produce to people of the Cairns region.

Named after founding father Emrys “Rusty” Rees who developed the site in the 1970s, Rusty's has grown into the largest produce market in Far North Queensland.

Featuring prices sometimes unheard of in southern states, Rusty's offers a wide variety of products ranging from exotic tropical fruit and vegetables and organic produce to clothing, souvenirs and bric-a-brak.

The markets operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6am-3pm (with a little later on Friday afternoons to cater for the working crowd) and are located between Grafton and Sheridan Streets in the Cairns CBD.
