Iconic: the Reef Hotel Casino's dome is a distinct feature of the Cairns skyline.

The Reef Hotel Casino is one of Cairns' most distinct buildings.

Located in Cairns CBD, the Cairns casino opened its doors in 1996 and features a luxury hotel, gaming lounges, restaurantsshopping, bars and a nightclub.

It's massive dome is one of the strongest features on the Cairns skyline and includes a unique rainforest-styled enclosure featuring a number of local native animals and plants, including a massive crocodile.

While many people visit Far North Queensland for its amazing natural attractions, the casino is one of the many nightlife options for travellers when they visit Cairns.

The city has as much going on after dark as it does in the day and has firmly established itself as one of Australia's best known nightspots, with a great selection of bars, clubs and other Cairns ntertainment venues.

If clubbing isn't your thing, don't despair! Cairns has enough going on at night to keep anyone happy.

On weekends, Cairns Esplanade and City Place often featured council-sponsored entertainment, from musicians and live music through to circus acts and dancing displays.

The city also features a number of world-class dining options, with no trip to the North complete without dinner and drinks overlooking the water on the Cairns Esplanade.
