Kids Art Exhibition
Kids Time runs from this Friday, May 23, until Wednesday, June 11, at Tanks Arts Centre.
Queensland Museum%u2019s travelling exhibition, Kids Time, represents a century of learning through play at Tanks Arts Centre from this Friday.
This fun and interactive exhibition gives children a better understanding of the toys, clothing and popular culture that existed throughout the ages with a focus on 1910, the 1930s, 1950s, 1970s and the present.
The exhibit encourages three- to eight- year-olds to learn more about the world that their own parents and grandparents grew up in.
From a child’s perspective it illustrates the themes of continuity and change through ‘play’ in the context of family generations.
It also offers a space for children to play with toys, puzzles and dress-ups, see displays of toys in sealed cases and identify a boy and girl character from each era.
