Burger bar is snapped up
IT TOOK many months and several real estate agents, but Rex's Breakfast and Burger Bar on Sheridan Street finally has been sold.
Kyle Olufson from Cairns Property Office said the business and freehold settled about a month, following extensive advertising earlier this year.
The business had been owned by the Hand family and was bought by another Far Northern family.
"It is a very neat and tidy operation,'' Mr Olufson told Business Week.
"You go past it and can see that it is always busy.''
Mr Olufson, who has been working in real estate for four years, said it was a particularly satisfying sale.
He said the sale reflected the demand for commercial property in Cairns.
"Commercial property is still quite scarce and a lot of people who own it like to hold on to it,'' he said.
Mr Olufson is currently marketing tenancies at Redlynch Central Shopping Centre.
