GATES OPEN: 3pm, concert starts at 4pm
GATES CLOSE: 10pm
UPON ENTRY
Every patron will be wrist banded upon entry into the concert. Event organisers and the police reserve the right to check all bags and persons upon entry. Failure to comply with mandatory checks will result in non-entry. You will not be permitted to enter with alcohol, illicit substances, food, drink or opened water bottles, esky’s, studded belts or anything deemed hazardous to others. Children’s and infants food will be permitted on case by case decision.
ALCOHOL
The venue/event is fully licensed and alcohol will be available to patrons over the age of 18. Every patron will be ID checked and provided with a non-removable wrist band at a PROOF OF AGE STALL located beside the bars. It doesn’t mater if you’re 18 or 88 you MUST have your ID to drink! Alcohol will only be sold to people with the wristbands. Secondary supply of alcohol to minors will result in prosecution. Designated security will patrol the grounds to ensure you under age patrons are not consuming alcohol. Don’t turn up drunk as you will be refused entry. Bottled water will be available at canteens. If you intend to consume alcohol please organise transport to and from the venue. Police will be present breath testing and patrolling the event precinct.
PATRON EXPECTATIONS
The Cairns Post and Queensland Police promote a safe and responsible environment. Whether it’s entering, leaving or in the concert you are required to abide by any reasonable request from event organisers, staff and security. Remember that all event staff are primarily there to keep the entire concert safe and enjoyable.
FIRST AID
There will be St John Ambulance officers at the venue.
SMOKING
Smoking will be permitted in designated areas only. Failure to abide by the Queensland Smoking laws will result in on the spot fines. Purchase of tobacco products will require 18+ proof of age. Secondary supply of tobacco to a minor will result in prosecution.

WHAT TO BRING
Cash (there are no ATM’s on site)
ID (no punters will be served without ID)
MOBILITY / DISABLED ACCESS
The event site is accessible to mobility impaired and disabled persons. Disabled toilets are also present around the event site. Any person/s requiring further assistance will need to contact event or security staff via the Box Office or Ticket Entry Point.
Further requirements will be passed on to the site manager for action.
PUBLIC CAR PARKING
A public car park is located on the Scott Street end of the showground’s precinct. It will be accessed via the Scott Street entrance to the showground’s. It will be administered by the Cairns Show Association and will be a charge of $5 per vehicle.
TAXI PICKUP / DROP OFF AREA
There will be 2x Taxi stands operating for the event.
1x Pre existing stand will be in operation on Mulgrave Road.
1x additional taxi stand will be set up on Scott Street.
Both stands will be monitored and managed by taxi marshals supplied by Black & White Taxis. They will also be aided by security /traffic management personnel in peak ingress and egress periods.
PUBLIC VEHICLE SET DOWN / PICK UP AREA
There will be a specific set down and pickup area set up for public cars. This will be located on Severin Street as noted on the site map. This area will be monitored by Traffic management personnel ingress/egress high points of the day.
BUS STOP
Sunbus will be supplying user pay busses during ingress and egress periods of the event. A continual loop from Cairns main bus terminal on Lake Street and the Cairns Showground’s will be maintained during these periods.
The Bus Drop off and Pick up point is located on Severin Street in the already existing bus stop area on the Cairns Showground’s side of the road – see site map for exact location.
This drop off point will be controlled in these hours by a traffic management /security personnel.
PEDESTRIAN CROSSING POINTS
Severin Street
A pedestrian crossing point will be implemented on Severin Street. It will be within the existing infrastructure on Severin Street, between the event envy point and the bus drop off /pick point. See site map for exact location. This will be manned in peak ingress and egress times by traffic management personnel. See Site Plan for location on the attached document.
Mulgrave Road
Pedestrian crossing traffic lights are present on both Mulgrave Road and Severin Street at the intersection of Mulgrave and Severin Street. Upon egress these crossing points will be manned by police and or traffic management personnel.

AFTER PARTY INFO
Gilligan’s AFTER PARTY starts @ 10.00pm. Sunbus and Taxi’s will be there to bring you into town from 9.30pm.
Busses will leave from Severin Street entrance and drop off to Lake Street terminus.
