PARADISE Palms owners' public image might have taken a battering in the past fortnight, so no doubt they were grateful to announce some good news this week. 

After incurring the wrath of Clifton Beach residents over plans for a ring road, joint owners H & S Vision and the Hedley Group were able to announce some good news.

The first buyers are starting to move into "The Keys" golf course apartments which have been on the market for the past two years.

About 72 of the 84 apartments in the $500 million project have been sold.

The apartments have been hailed, by the developers, as the first golf course apartments in Far North Queensland and are part of a $500 million project.

The Keys has homes in one, two and three-bedroom varieties plus study apartments.

It aims to assimilate with the natural environment and the golf course.

Among the special features are a brand new indoor outdoor terrace restaurant, a sports bar overlooking the fairways, new pro-shop and real estate sales office which is set to open in June.

This is part of stage one of the multi-million dollar clubhouse re-development project.

Project sales manager Steve Cordenos said all one, two and three-bedroom options featured a separate study with internal and basement storage.

He said there was also a penthouse-quality finish and spacious balconies.

The Keys has just 12 apartments remaining that are priced from $350,000 to $630,000.
