Blue King Brown have toured Cairns before as one of the headline acts for Reggae Town at Tjapukai in September 2006 followed by playing for a packed house at Tanks Arts Centre in January 2007.
This nine-piece act from Melbourne sprang to prominence in 2006 with the funk-infused reggae classic Water from their debut self-titled EP.
Water not only received high radio rotation around Australia it appeared on many quality compilations in 2006 including Weekend Sessions 3.
They followed up Water with another cracking and most successful single Come And Check Your Head which snuck them into #100 on Triple J's Hottest 100 for 2006.
In 2007, Blue King Brown released their debut album Stand Up with the single of the same name coming out in March 2007.
