Snake bite victim stable
AMBULANCE officers rushed to Yarrabah with antivenene yesterday after reports a man had been bitten by a snake.
The 38-year-old man was in stable condition yesterday afternoon, after being taken to Cairns Base Hospital.
His friend said the snake came out when the man was picking up some grass about 9.30am.
It is believed to have bitten him on the arm.
The injured man was treated at Yarrabah Medical Centre before a retrieval team including a doctor arrived from Cairns.
Ambulance officers said there were complications caused by another condition.
