Just A Family Affair by Veronica Henry (Hachette Livre)

Just A Family Affair is an enjoyable tale about the asset-rich but cash-strapped Liddiard family who have owned the traditional and respected Honeycote Ales brewery since the middle of the 19th century.

Set in a quaint English village this novel centres on wedding plans for son and heir Patrick to the lovely Mandy.

But is he only marrying her to save the struggling family business?

Or will he change his mind at the altar for rebel and wild child Mayday, his best friend and soul mate for the last 10 years?

This romantic comedy explores the repercussions and impact our past actions can have on our current life.

Family secrets, infidelities and illegitimate children are all revealed.

Can trust be restored and happiness regained through strong love and compassion?

Verdict: Although a bit long-winded at times this is an enjoyable read with a satisfying ending.
