PENINSULA girls have been taught a netball lesson from some of the best in the business during a tough day at the Queensland Primary School Netball Championships in Cairns yesterday.
Peninsula lost to Darling Downs and Metropolitan West by an identical 30-11 margin before being thrashed 45-5 by South Coast.
Despite the one-sided results, coach Renee Sinton said she was proud her players had reached their personal goals.

"We wanted to get to double figures against the first two teams then we wanted to achieve five goals against South Coast," she said.
"(South Coast) are very hard and they are leading the competition so far."
Sinton said her players had bonded well as a team.
"There was improvement all round and they are coming together as a team," Sinton said.
The championships at Martyn St Reserve are set up for a cliff-hanger finale today, with South Coast ahead on 27 points.
Metropolitan East is on 24, and Sunshine Coast and Metropolitan West are on 23.
Peninsula’s first match today is against Metropolitan East at 9am.
