Johnathan Thurston was the only Cowboys player to head to Cairns after Queensland selectors this morning decided to stick with the winning side from State of Origin II.

That means North Queensland enforcer Carl Webb missed out on a recall.

The team will attend a mayoral reception tomorrow before conducting an open training session at Barlow Park at 3pm.

Fans can meet their heroes at an autograph signing session at Barlow Park at 4.30pm tomorrow.

The team will also attend a sold-out dinner at Brothers Leagues Club, where they will present jerseys to members of the Far North Queensland Team of the Century.

The team leaves Cairns on Thursday morning.
