Queenslanders, show your passion!

Maroons fans will be out in force tonight to support their Queensland heroes in the State of Origin decider against New South Wales in Sydney.

With Queensland’s pride – and Origin bragging rights – on the line, local clubs and pubs are tipping huge crowds to cheer the Maroons to victory.

Backyard parties are planned as Queenslanders prepare to settle in front of the TV for the clash.

Reef Hotel Casino marketing co-ordinator Natalie Mann said the venue had been a sea of Maroon for the first two games and she expected even more fans tonight.

"We had a very big crowd in the last game and this game, being the decider, it will be quite mammoth," Ms Mann said.

"We have a few extra lounges and screens in place in the casino’s Sportz Arena.

"We’re very proud of our footy and AFL isn’t as big so we cling to our rugby."

Marketing manager for Brothers Leagues Club Kylee Forrester said the club was decked out in Maroon.

"We’ve had huge crowds for the last two games and this one will, no doubt, be jam-packed," she said.

"The auditorium is where the real action will be."

Pubs further north at Cooktown, on the Tableland and in Queensland hero Billy Slater’s hometown of Innisfail are also stocking up for a big night.

Rebel Sport department manager Peter Ahgee said the Cairns store had sold about 80 to 90 per cent of its State of Origin stock.
