I was born in Cairns in 1999.

I love having bacon and eggs at the beach on Sundays.

I love the lasagna Aldo makes me at L'unico and every time we go - he gives us our favourite table so we can see the beach.

I love sleeping in my without blankets - even in winter. I love barefeet.

I love drinking water - but it has to be cold.

I love playing outside with my friends and building cubbies - we dont need a roof cos it's not cold and hardly rains.

We have dinner outside a lot which is fun - and we have candles as lights on the table.

Even cyclones are okay 'cos its just like camping at home.

I love our mozzie candles 'cos they smell nice at night.

I love swimming at the beach, at school and at home.

This is my home and it is the best 'cos it's hot and sunny.

Miss Ruby (8) from Kewarra Beach loves lots of things about Cairns, like driving a houseboat on Lake Tinaroo, west of Cairns. 'Even I can drive!' she says.
