Mike O'Loughlin from 4CA FM tells us why he loves Cairns so much...

I love Cairns for the green and serene, as you fly in or drive back from anywhere down south you can touch the colour and feel the rainforest.

I enjoy taking my fresh air medicine as I slowly pedal up Lake Morris road to Copperload and enjoy our surrounds and it really is cycling in clean air.

I left Cairns back in 1976 swearing to return and now back for good with the family since 2000, it's a place with easy to get to camping spots which we love to get to whenever we can, with the Daintree, the reef and Savannah country so close.

Did I forget the fishing?!

Not just that but the wonderful restaurants on nearly every corner to enjoy such a range of dishes.

The laidback nature of the people is a treat - some call it going Troppo - well if that's it I'm in.
