Ebeny Keating, North Queensland Life Saving Services Coordinator for Surf Life Saving Queensland tells us why she chooses Cairns over the rest of Australia...

I fell in love with Cairns within the first year I moved here over 11 years ago.

My main love about Cairns is the pristine beaches and exotic islands.

It is amazing how there is so much to do in Cairns and North Queensland from the mountains to the reef and the esplanade to the rainforest.

People of Cairns are so friendly and welcoming.

I have gained many friends and second families.

The weather is fantastic and the lifestyle relaxed.

How great is it to  call family, friends and head office down south especially during winter and share yet another day in paradise, top of 28degrees,  blue skies, sun is shining and the water is beautiful.

I enjoy the experiences and the people that I encounter with my job and no day is the same.

Dealing with and learning about our fantastic marine life including crocodiles, marine stingers, sharks, stingrays and many more is one of the perks.

I am happy to call Cairns home.
