The Intelligent Traveller by Jenny Herbert (The Five Mile Press)

Jenny Herbert, armed with ‘more than twenty years experience in different parts of the tourism industry’ has scribed a sharply informative book with The Intelligent Traveller, which divides a travel plan up into ten parts, from its conception to arrival back home.

aHerbert writes in an easy-to-read style and she provides checklists, diagrams and travel tips.

It’s by no means exhaustive, but The Intelligent Traveller is an excellent how-to guide for planning and executing your next trip.

Verdict: A highly recommended book for the novice traveller.
