Only In Your Dreams by Cecily von Ziegesar (Bloomsbury)

Only in Your Dreams engages the reader in the scandalous lives of five of New York City's Upper East Siders.

This novel is the ninth instalment in the Gossip Girl series.

If you have read the other eight novels you would soon realise that these five, among other characters mentioned in the novel, all graduated from a prestigious high school.

So now it's summer and they've all got various extra curricular activities to indulge in before they head off to college.

They've been busy, of course. Whilst some are being punished for their reckless behaviour by doing manual labour, others have been jet setting across to London, working closely with successful cinematographers, starring in major films and working in a certain book store - summer vacation has only just begun!

Verdict: This novel, about many frivolous lives is sure to distract you from your own dilemmas.
