Crash scare for Lucas
THE mum of Far Northern actor Isabel Lucas says her daughter is well and back at work after a car crash involving her Transformers co-star Shia LaBeouf in Los Angeles.
According to US media reports, Lucas, 23, was in the front passenger seat of Shia LaBeouf’s Ford F150 utility early on Sunday morning when the car crashed and flipped over, after he made an illegal turn.

She was reportedly admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital for minor injuries and later released.
Isabel’s mother, Beatrice Lucas, spoke to The Cairns Post yesterday and said her daughter was fine.
"There has been an enormous media thing with this in the (United) States," Mrs Lucas said.
"From Isabel’s perspective, it was just a normal car accident.
"She’s back at work now."
Mrs Lucas said her daughter was not hurt in the crash, but was concerned for LaBeouf, 22, who suffered a significant hand injury that required surgery.
The injury could keep him away from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen film set for several weeks. US newspapers have also reported allegations Indiana Jones star LaBeouf was drink-driving at the time of the crash, but Ms Lucas said her daughter did not believe that was the case.
"Isabel would not get into the car with someone she thought was drink-driving," she said.
Isabel’s Australian publicist yesterday said she could not confirm the accident reports, but said the former Home and Away actor was on set filming for Transformers.
"I haven’t spoken to her yet so I can’t confirm anything," her publicist said.
"But I have been informed she is at work, on the set of Transformers and is fine."
