After the recent death of local man Craig Hadrick, The Cairns Post has joined a national campaign to make people 'just think' about what they're doing when they drink.

More than 3200 people are already online champions of the Just Think campaign against alcohol-related violence.

Supporters from across Australia have registered with the Just Think Myspace site, set up by The Cairns Post’s sister News Ltd publication the Geelong Advertiser less than six weeks ago.

Supporters have hailed the campaign as a great idea and a fine example for governments.

Join the Just Think campaign by downloading the poster on the right and putting it up in your home, business or club.

In a post on the site, Nathan Jackman of Tasmania said alcohol-related violence remained a widespread problem.

“Keep up the good work and let’s hope that the vendors start to take notice and be more strict on the responsible serving of alcohol legislation they should be upholding,” he said.
