CAIRNS teenager Kassandra Zandt has brushed off the storm of controversy surrounding raunchy poses by her and other contestants on a TV modelling show.

Channel 7’s Make Me a Supermodel has come under fire from family groups after featuring teenagers as young as 17 in highly suggestive poses.

The Australian Family Association branded the pictures, which showed scantly clad teenage girls draped over the young male contestants, as "dangerous and highly toxic".

But 18-year-old Kassandra told The Cairns Post yesterday there was nothing bad about the pictures and admitted to feeling "extremely" comfortable during the shoot.

It even earned Kassandra praise from top US male model and TV judge Tyson Beckford, much to the teenager’s delight.

"I got some great feedback," she said.

"Tyson Beckford said I could be a Brazilian bikini model.

"When he said it, I felt like crying because he has been in the industry for so many years and he really knows his stuff."

Kassandra said being on the show was an exciting opportunity and she planned to embrace everything thrown at her by the producers.

"This is the biggest thing that has ever happened to me and I think I have a really good chance of making it all the way," she said.

"If I’ve made it this far out of 38,000 people and got to the top 14, so why couldn’t I be the next supermodel."

Kassandra was yesterday in Brisbane doing a photo shoot and starting to get excited about moving into a house full of "gorgeous people" and taking her career to the next level.
