King-Sized Tribute

Dean Vegas' tribute to Elvis Presley is an exciting homage to the king of rock 'n' roll.

Dean Vegas’ Elvis Fever show hits the mark whether you are an avid Elvis fan or you just want to be taken on a journey through time while listening to the greatest hits of the king of rock‘n’roll.

This show has been seen around the world including Las Vegas, Canada, Lake George US, Sweden, the Middle East, Bali, Indonesia, China and, of course, clubs and casinos across Australia.

Dean Vegas, as he would put it, has had the privilege and honour to have performed live with DJ Fontana, Elvis’ original drummer and the Jordanairs, a male quartet who sang harmony on some of Elvis’ songs such as Teddy Bear, Don’t Be Cruel and All Shook Up to name a few.

Dean has also performed with the Imperials, who toured with Elvis and were his backing singers throughout the ’70s. He has also performed with the Sweet Inspirations while in the US a few years ago.

The Sweets, as Elvis would call them, were the preshow entertainment and were also his backing singers throughout the ’70s on his live performances.

In 2003, Dean was chosen from hundreds of other Elvis tribute artists across the US to co-host the show, Pop Across America, where he also got to meet and interview another rock legend, Bo Didley.

In 2000, Dean had the honour of representing Australia in the world’s largest Elvis festival. Dean was voted the world’s No.1 Elvis tribute artist. His appearance, showmanship, performance material and vocal performance have been voted as the best in the world.

Dean Vegas performs Elvis Fever at Kuranda Amphitheatre on Friday at 7.30pm and Saturday at Cairns Civic Theatre at 7.30pm. To book, call 4031 9555.
