Top Reggae Festival
The 2008 Reggaetown Festival will be held at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park on Saturday, September 6 from 1.30pm.
Roots Reggae event Reggaetown Festival introduces a new brand of groove when it takes place on Saturday, September 6 at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural park.
This year’s event features the sweet and saucy rhythms and harmonies of New Zealand’s stand-out reggae ambassadors, Katchafire (picture), Jah Mason, Chaka Demus and Pliers (all from Jamaica), the Mana Maori Music Men plus more.
Festival goers are encouraged to come early and stay until late, taking their time to enjoy the eclectic mix of music, bands, artists, DJs, performers, cafes, bars, kids’ activities and workshops in music, dance and crafts, market stalls from all over the world and a few surprises.
There will be three stages of roots and reggae music as well as a brand new Murri program.
