WHAT readers are saying about The Cairns Post's X-Rated Phone Shock story.

So that geekish and nerdish demeanour of DSE staff is just an act..

Posted by: Chris of Ipswich 3:16pm today

I bet if it was a male who recieved the photos on a new phone, there wouldn't have been a complaint.

Posted by: Mr Smileee of Newcastle 3:12pm today

For gods sake get a life, take the phone back demand another one, preferably one that has not been used, and if she still feels aggrieved contact the store's head office and place a formal complaint. This story is hardly newsworthy.

Posted by: Elaine of Brisbane 3:04pm today

granted that is a pretty unprofessional thing to do but geez lady, delete the pics and move on in life. Life is too short to waste energy on things like this!

Posted by: beefmaster of adelaide 3:00pm today

We need to protect our children from hard core porn like this. I feel sick thinking of the poor lady who got the phone. And for all you porn sick kids out there we need compulsory national service to teach you what life is all about. As far as Dick Smith goes-- sack the staff. Think of this lady's emotional feelings and well being after seening this filth.

Posted by: chris of act 2:54pm today

and i bet the phone number of the woman whos photos were taken are in the Contact list as well :)

Posted by: Dude of Sydney 2:36pm today

these photos didnt seem that "pornographic", she looked like she had a bikini on. does she call beach goers "pornographic"?. yes, its bad she didn’t have a completely new phone, but i'm pretty sure the girl in the pictures didn’t deliberately leave those "disgusting" pictures in there. just a lesson for stuff of the store to be more careful and not give people use items. this is just media sensationalism designed to berate people , or a company, or people within a company for no reason but to cause a pointless uproar. move on.

Posted by: what the of melbourne 2:33pm today

Dick Smith have really cocked this one up!

Posted by: Poll Swayer of Brisbane 2:27pm today

gee so whats the first thing you do,call the media and splash the pics for all to see,gee lady you must feel better now.they`ll loose there jobs, etc etc and then you`ll need compensation for sure.bla bla bla.

Posted by: jase c of wa 2:28pm today

This beggars two questions .. Had Sam Sung for his picture? and What was size (mini pixels) of the explicit image?
Posted by: Possum of Brisbane 2:23pm today

Nice.... love it.

Posted by: One of many who like girls 2:21pm today

...where can I buy one of these phones?

Posted by: David P of Melbourne 2:20pm today

Posted by: Cobalt Blue 1:25pm today

A man would be stoked he had 49 free porn pics.

Posted by: Nathan of 'Gong 2:17pm today

I bet sales go through the roof in this Dick Smith store.

Posted by: Sex Sells of Adelaide 2:04pm today

hmmm, reminds me of the times when i worked at Dick Smith!!! ahhhhhhhhhh

Posted by: DSE employee 2:01pm today

Wow...this is funny as and obviously shows how dumb some of the staffers at Dick Smith are. What's even more funny is the amount of desperados on here craving to see the pics! Not every naked women is hot ya know....

Posted by: Miles of Adelaide 1:59pm today

How come I never get a phone like that?? I want one too! I bet it will increase Dick Smith phone sales!!!

Posted by: Grant of Perth 1:59pm today

All you commenters saying "omg she wants compensation, just give her free credit/upgrade phone" etc, that IS what compensation is; "compensation" doesn't automatically mean she is suing them for thousands of dollars. And my two cents worth, I wouldn't call myself a prude but if I bought a new phone that had pictures of a guy holding his penis or a girl performing a sex act, I wouldn't just laugh it off. That's just offensive. Do it on your own mobiles.

Posted by: Helen of Perth 1:57pm today

Maybe this is just a problem with Dick Smith. I put an iPod on layby several months ago and when I went to pick it up they told me it was sold to someone else. I had to wait for more stock which I was happy to do. When I finally got the iPod it had about 200 music files on it and a receipt of purchase from a Townsville store (I'm in Brisbane). When you pay for 'brand new' that's what you should get. Not someone else's returns. If that particular iPod was advertised as returned stock then I wouldn't have a prob with it but when you put something on layby you would think it would be reserved for you straight away.

Posted by: Aiden of Brisbane 1:38pm today

Would you be happy to buy a tooth brush that was used in a pornographic way ? Happy brushing people. No ? Didnt think so....this is no different

Posted by: Max 12:47pm today

I have worked for several mobile phone retail outlets. Trust me.. This happens all the time... Sales staff 'borrow' a phone for the weekend and forget to wipe the memory. I personally know of 4 instances when this exact thing has happend in a store I have worked in. One time was a 85 year old Grandma!! She came back and had the phone cleared and explained it was lucky she was hip and cool enough not to report it. I think now this story is out a few more voices might be heard. If you ever buy a phone, Make sure its in the original shrink wrap. That way you can be sure its from the manufacture and not used for someones weekend away.

Posted by: Sales In Brisbane of Brisbane 12:47pm today

maybe it's a good way of boosting sales in a slow economy, but really they should select who wants this stuff on their phone befor they sell it to them.

Posted by: georgie of parramatta 12:45pm today

Watch the "model" get an offer with "Make me a Superstar" or whatever!
Im not ashamed of sex or nudity or pornography. I would prefer to choose what I looked at though. I wouldn’t want a second hand phoned that was used during a sex act loaded with porn images being sold to me.

Posted by: ray 12:44pm today

I blame this type of incident on Kevin Rudd. If this nations greatest Prime Minister had not lost office this country wouldnt have sunk into the immoral swamp it has become.

Posted by: aaa of tsv 12:42pm today

This poor woman should get her face checked right away, who knows what nasty diseases she might have contracted!? I've heard of 'hearing aids', but 'seeing aids'?

Posted by: Devil's Advocate of Adelaide 12:40pm today

"what if they bought it for their kids" you seriously would give a kid a mobile phone with a camera and internet capability and are concerned about the pre loaded porn, gees just give them the keys to the car as well and say don't drive, if you are giving a "child" that technology be prepared for the "child" to find porn and much more.

Posted by: colin of Sydney 12:39pm today

Typical reaction these days to go straight to the media and for compensation, one would think that they had never seen a naked body before, and it's hardly mentally scarring. It seems a bit presumptuous that it's automatically an employee of the store, every phone I've ever seen purchased from a store has been sealed in plastic film. If it somehow was an store employee, the most compensation they should get is probably a replacement phone for free and the offending staff getting the boot.

Posted by: David of Canberra 12:37pm today

wow, this is a true show of how loose we have become in society, its now ok to accept second hand goods loaded with porn because you deem it acceptable behavour ? Holly, Im guessing your phone is loaded with pornographic pictures of yourself hey...hence your stance on the matter.

Posted by: Max 12:15pm today

Compensation? ? ? give me a break, where are we the USA?

Posted by: Erik of Earth 12:09pm today

To those who complain that this is not newsworthy, isn't this type of story more fun to read than those depressing reports about the stock market?

Posted by: Salivating 12:08pm today

There are some very sad comments being made. If this happened to me it's not the porn that would P me off, but the fact that I bought a "brand new phone" that had been used.
Posted by: the alex of brisbane 12:20pm today
Does the first sentence of this story contain a typo?
I'm pretty sure that the word shocked was meant to be the word stoked :)
Posted by: stoked of a mobile phone store 12:03pm today
your to choose porno is your right but when you buy something and get assaulted by images that you neither asked for or wanted that’s wrong . a person purchased a phone who was going to end up with before you have ago at the consumer how would you like to buy a phone for your child and find that crap on it
Posted by: don of 12:02pm today

It is NOT the customers responsibility two employees may be sacked. If someone burgles my house and I call police it is not my responsibility he goes to jail. I did not ask him to commit the crime. If people want to keep their jobs, do not take display phones out of a shop, take pornographic pictures with it and on top get caught with it. Isn't that common sense? But common sense is not that common.

Posted by: Peter M of Sydney 12:02pm today

Sweet, free porn! Can we submit requests? MILFs please. Oh yeah almost forgot the obligatory "won't somebody think of the children!"

Posted by: Steven of Sydney 12:02pm today

Sad isn't it? See? Sex is baaaaaaaddddd - well isn't it? It's not like WE do it is it? :) The human psyche and the mores and cultures it engenders continue to amaze and appall me.

Posted by: Stephan of Hobart 12:01pm today

hehehe.....beats paying for it on the internet...think yourself lucky that it was a free peep show.....how much would it have cost to get it fropm the internet....hehehehehe

Posted by: Peter from the Bush of Central West NSW 11:58am today

$900 for a new phone contract $800 for a new phone $300 for phone accessories Free porn pics loaded on to your new phone PRICELESS !!!

Posted by: Mickey of Canberra 11:58am today

Pics or it didn't happen!

Posted by: Paul 11:56am today

that's it, I am suing Dick Smith. I want free porn on my phone to that I bought from this shop. Ripped off again.

Posted by: paul of woodcroft 11:56am today

I'm amazed there are some people who would be offended! Big deal! I'd be stoked at getting this extra cool content XD . There sure are a lot of old prudish people still about willing to complain about anything.

Posted by: Kevin 11:55am today

Seriously, I could care less what they do with their OWN phones -- take as many as you want, send them around to all your mates. Who gives a rats. But to use a phone from the store where you work, which is not yours, shows a total lack of respect for yourself and your employer. That's the beef people. And it's not "un" Australian to have a problem with someone having used, what you were sold and think is a new phone, like this.

Posted by: steve 11:49am today

We need more shops like that...

Posted by: Scott of Berwick 11:48am today

Is it true - you can catch an STD from your mobile phone? Adds new meaning to mobile protection! I'm amazed at the number of prudes that still exist in society....

Posted by: John of Perth 11:45am today

I want that phone.

Posted by: David of Perth 11:40am today

This lady, this university student sounds like she'd be the a lot of fun to hang out with, a really lovely soul. It's lovely that she returned the phone leaving the images for all of the Dick Smith employees to find, it's lovely she will, ultimately, be responsible for two employees being sacked, it's lovely to see she fulfilled the role of the virtuous citizen in making a public statement. Delete the photos, have a laugh and return the phone based on its inaudibility.

Posted by: Holly of Sydney 11:35am today

I would have seen that as a bonus offer!!..."free amature porn with every phone purchased!!!...must be 18! Hardly a reason for complaint.

Posted by: Rory McRorts of Rortsville 11:34am today

Awesome! She could have gotten the ultimate revenge and posted them online or emailed them to local Dick Smith Mega store!

Posted by: BrotherJ of Sydney 11:34am today

I've had this happen before and I didn't make a big hoo-haa about it, people return phones, either go back and get an exchange or delete the phones, wash it and move on

Posted by: Bec 11:25am today

I'm gonna go in to Dick Smith and complain that I didn't get pictures of a naked female employee on my phone.

Posted by: Steve 11:14am today

That's why I shop at Harvey Norman and JB HI FI, the way that company is run. This is no surprise to me. Dick Smith Electronics need to wake up to themselves. They also sell dodgey products why anyone would shop there I do not know.

Posted by: Michael 11:11am today

It amazes me how these articles are even considered news and plastered on the main page of all things.

Posted by: Rob B of Melbourne 11:06am today

what is it with the staff in phone shops another budding starlet like last years telstra shop girl

Posted by: snoop of belmore 10:59am today

i wouldn't complain....

Posted by: David of QLD 11:57am today

Where can i buy one? I think it should be compulsory he he

Posted by: Oh yes!! of Brisbane 11:52am today

Looks like someone wants her 15 Minutes of fame..Like some other woman in another headline ... As Jon of Eatons Hill says, " heaps of worse stuff on the net" Must be a slow news day hey C.M...

Posted by: Des of Deception Bay 11:50am today

Can't understand why people are bagging this girl out? When you buy a phone you don't expect it to be already used and put back on the shelf for sale. I'm sure if the mobile had been purchase by a parent for their children to use and the child had found the photos, it would be a completely different matter altogether.

Posted by: Amanda of Brisbane 11:45am today

How come I never get that lucky to find stuff like that on my phone? But what’s so wrong with what she did? It highlights what some businesses get up to, or more so their employees, and in all honesty, would you want to purchase another item from that store if such things happen?

Posted by: PJ of Brisbane 11:23am today

She sounds like a gold digger to me. Just a few innocent naked pictures. Get over it, I am sure the kid could find worse images after spending 60 seconds surfing the net.

Posted by: Jon of Eatons Hill 10:50am today

The same thing happened to my son. Having decided to purchase a new Sony Ericson under contract from the Crazy John's outlet, he brought it home and charged the phone. When checking out the phone fully, he found photos of a family Xmas. Upon contacting the store regarding the purchase of what appeared to be a 2nd hand phone, we were told that it couldn't be so and that we were having a go at them. When we returned to store, it was evident that a staff member had taken the phone over the break without management approval. We have had no end of trouble regarding that or the substitute phone and would not recommend dealing with the store again when, due to this incident, has recorded my son as less than honest and a troublemaker.

Posted by: Me 9:55am today

As long as they weren't of Dick Smith himself, I wouldnt mind.... 8 -)

Posted by: tyson 9:51am today

What is shocking about it its just nudity for gods sake get over it violence is much worse than sex or nudity.

Posted by: Andrew Z of Brisbane 9:37am today

Hence why you do not buy stuff that has had the packaging broken. Posted by: John 9:27am today

What a prude!

Posted by: Danny Brown of Brisbane 9:09am today

This happens alot i know three people that has happened to one phone was from Dick Smith and another was from Tandy. Maybe they need to stop letting their staff use new phones away from work???

Posted by: Shannon of Jamisontown 10:46am today

BAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAH What a classic group of idiots!!! I dont blame this lady for being annoyed, I would be too

Posted by: Petey of Morley of Perth 10:36am today

Love these comments, Dick Smith is the way to go!!

Posted by: David of Adelaide 10:33am today

The only Dick Smith female employees I see are dumpy and not so attractive, I love the way all the men in the thread make the unthinking assumption she is someone they would even want to see naked!? maybe this woman is distressed for a reason! Look at amateur porn boys, most of those girls are not really girls you would "choose" to get with when clothed.

Posted by: teska 10:30am today

How is taking sexual photos of yourself on a camera that is going to be sold 'FUN'. Sure do what you want in your own time with your own things, but how dare the Dick Smith staff use items to be sold to consumers, for their own sexual gratification. Why couldn¿t they use their own mobile phones? It just leads to the question, what do they do with other items for sale that we never find out about... ? I'd be interested to know if the vibrate function on the phone was warn out or not.

Posted by: BBB of Canberra 10:30am today

Well obviously she is disgruntled because her new phone is not NEW! And it has been used as part of a sex romp. This is the source of her complaint.

Posted by: Romney of Sydney 10:30am today

I guess this is Australia's answer to the cute Chinese mobile phone factory worker that appeared on a British phone?

Posted by: Mobile 10:29am today

I want one, it's a shame it's the last one they had in stock!

Posted by: dingo of forster nsw 10:28am today

I am amazed at the number of positive comments. This story reinforces the statement: Digtal data, once in the airwaves, cannot be recovered or destroyed. I bet the woman wishes she had used an old Polaroid camera!

Posted by: Kevin R of Goolwa SA 10:28am today

Surely theres bigger issues in the world than this, does anyone really care?!! I Don't, it's not hurting anyone. The world has become to uptight these days, Just relax and have a laugh like a true aussie!

Posted by: Diamond Mac 10:27am today

Tom of Canberra comment 11... I agree entirely, wouldn't her mother be so proud! And Natalie comment 35 LOL love the precious little pricess reference... spot on :-) it's not like you can hear a picture... I mean the woman who got the phone seriously needs to lighten up!

Posted by: thready of melbourne 10:19am today

bugger i bought my phone from optus and had no extra wallpapers so i am with Paul on this one dick smith for my next phone

Posted by: Bob of Goldcoast 10:14am today

I'm running over to Dick Smiths to upgrade my mobile now, sounds like a nice value proposition.

Posted by: Jack 10:12am today

Makes you wonder why the speaker in the the phone didn't work so well.. gross !!

Posted by: Ryan.. of Sydney... 10:12am today

Arent the nude pictures enough compensation? They would be for me? lol

Posted by: Banjo of Adelaide 10:11am today

im getting 10 new phones today, hope I get some photos of her on it

Posted by: Jarrad of QLD 10:10am today

...an easter egg of sorts?!? fire them for not being nerdy enough... a true nerd would have done a factory reset on the phone. Then again this could actually be an act of malice - someone is out to get the girl in the store?

Posted by: CB of Canberra 10:07am today

That sucks. My phone didn't come with anything like that. I'm definately buying my next mobile from Dick Smith.

Posted by: Ray of Queensland 10:05am today

The old Paparazzi move, I think good on them for not conforming to societies prejudice against nudity and free love...

Posted by: Salmon Tuna 10:03am today

Big bloody deal...the woman obviously leads a sheltered life. One cant even have an ounce of fun anymore!

Posted by: SC of Sydney 10:02am today

Too funny, no doubt a traumatic experience for the young lady as no impure things EVER come close to the face of a student. Hehehe. Yes, deleting the pictures might have been the way to go but as we can see from the comments there are always a few folks out there that are not too bright. It is amusing to see the compensation line creep in and then it somehow becomes part of the original article...keep taking the tablets kids, I am off to Dick Smith!

Posted by: Tony of Sydney 10:02am today

Dick Smith is probably glad he does not own the company anymore...wonder if Telstra Shops, Strathfield and other phone dealers have employees get up to mischief like that

Posted by: Mike of North Sydney 10:01am today

For this story to have any credibility we would need to see the pics....

Posted by: DavidM of Brisbane 9:58am today

Its such a sad Indictment of young people today that you consider this normal, and in fact something to be proud of. Listening to the moronic comments on here doesn’t give me much hope for the future. Grow up people and have some self respect. She obviously has higher values than most of you on here.

Posted by: Mike 9:52am today

Thats GOLD!

Posted by: Travis of Adelaide 9:51am today

Buying my next Mobile from Dick Smith after reading this article..

Posted by: Paul 9:49am today

NEWS FLASH Dick Smith report unusually high sales of Mobile Phones most stores out of stock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: margaret of Gold Coast 9:47am today

"Practically unheard of" - what a load ! I worked at DSE for like 5 years, almost EVERYTHING in those shops is 2nd hand ! They have a 14-day money back guarantee if you change your mind ... and all that stuff goes straight back on the shelves. The store is basically a junk shop. It's no better than The Warehouse or Crazy Clarks, I'd never buy anything from there these days !

Posted by: MJ of Brissy 9:47am today

Now, that is my type of phone.

Posted by: 8-) 9:45am today

hahaha i would use it as leverage for a new plasma. gimme a massive discount on the latest plasma and ill settle it quietly, if not ill just start posting it on youtube :) slack ? i sure am !!

Posted by: Vincent of sydney 9:44am today

I would have copied them, sold a set online to an amateur pr0n site, another to womans day/today tonight (with my sob story over how heart wrenching, galling and shocking it is), and forward them to all my mates BEFORE going to Dick Smith for compensation.

Posted by: Anonymousaurus Rex of Not Perth 9:44am today

Awesome.. That's what I call added value. Well done dick Smith.

Posted by: James 9:43am today

this is horrendous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: allam kildahar of bondi beach 9:41am today

What about compensation for all Internet users whose computer screen gets plastered with porn images when they are browsing for something esle!

Posted by: Greg of Algester 9:41am today

This is so typical of big retail stores these days. They treat the customer like a third rate citizen and with contempt. I have had heaps of problems with Dick Smith's in the past and would not walk through their doors for any reason. I feel very sorry for this poor woman who had to view these images. Again, this is the way that retail outlets are going. Forget the customer or his/her needs. There will be another customer around the corner. It is known as the Banks attitude; Lose one get another. I really hope that this publicity hurts. Rhyu

Posted by: Rhyu of Brisbane 9:40am today

Get over it, what a sook, please

Posted by: bill of ACT 9:39am today

I expect Dick Smith will be giving this lady a pay rise and maybe a special bonus? Because she's just done more to promote their stores than any expensive ad campaign ;)

Posted by: Dave of Brisbane 9:36am today

"It's sickening to think I've been using this phone near my face when it was used to take all of these photos," Yeah as if taking a photo of someone is like rubbing them up against your face. She should have downloaded them and posted them on the web for all of us to see.

Posted by: Bill of Perth 9:32am today

Liz I'm pretty sure I worked for the same "family orientated company" and know of the same situation you are talking about. I also worked for a mobile phone repair company, and we used to get replacement units back from manufacturers full of porn. These units werent checked by the techs before they were given out so I'm sure it happened more often than what we were told about - it was only old people or prudes who would complain about it!

Posted by: Christine 9:31am today

I bought one of those digital photo frames from JB HiFi and the flash card that came with it had about 20 pictures of staff members all mucking around down the back of the store.

Posted by: Brendan of Melbourne 9:29am today

Should have posted them on the internet. What if this phone was purchased for a child? I would be seeking compensation.

Posted by: Brent of Brisvegas 9:29am today

Should have put them on Facebook first. Dumb lass.

Posted by: Don of Alice Springs 9:25am today

Bet most of you guys would'nt say that you "wouldnt mind" if you bought the phone for one of your kids! I wonder if it was her phone and it got accidently swapped with a new one. So she ended up with the new one and hers ended up on the shelf! People really need to be careful with those sorts of things... who knows what could happen...

Posted by: k of bris 9:24am today

brb..I'm off to buy an iPhone from Dick Smiths..

Posted by: Steve 9:24am today

Compensation? You get a new phone and an apology. Why is it that people think they are entitled to more than what they paid for? If the store offers anything further, that's great, but it shouldn't be expected. The poor girl and others involved will probably loose their jobs over it - that's going to be hard on them for something silly like that. The world goes too far these days..

Posted by: LukeN of RADelaide 9:23am today

Just how touchy is this woman, she's distressed because the phone was so near her face after being used to take the photos. The world is getting sillier everyday.

Posted by: A Traindriver of Claisebrook 9:22am today

I would be thrilled to get a free phone out. I would not so much care about the images on the phone, more so where the phone had been. The woman must be pretty stupid to take the images and then leave them on the phone though.

Posted by: Nikki of Sydney 9:21am today

Absolutely disgusting! I cannot believe this actually occurred. Where can I see these pics?

Posted by: Dan of Melbourne 9:20am today

Well the store isn't called DICK SMITH for nothing!

Posted by: Francis Sullivan of Newcastle 9:17am today

Easy Solution. Take the phone back. 'Sorry for the inconvenience, ma'am', offer a replacement, possibly a superior model. If she starts demanding compensation, laugh at her and tell her not to be such a goose.

Posted by: Martin of Brisbane 9:16am today

compensation? everyone sues these days. What she should have done is posted the photos on the internet and made money.

Posted by: Andrew of North Sydney 9:16am today

I love it! She should have been charged extra for the "additional features"!! lol

Posted by: Jayson of Melbourne 9:14am today

That's hilarious. She should be happy, she didn't even have to pay extra for the phone. I think this is more a case of the woman being an opportunist than anything else.

Posted by: Kendal of Brisbane 9:12am today

Remember that article a couple of weeks ago that stated Gen Y men are less likely to visit prostitutes, but Gen Y women are more likely to be prostitutes? Looks like they are rapidly losing their self respect.

Posted by: Gerry of Cairns 9:09am today

She's asking for a compenstion settlement? The world really has gone mad...

Posted by: Matt of Brisbane 9:06am today

We really need to review the images in question before we can make any informed comment.

Posted by: Dave of Sydney 9:01am today

A compensation settlement? Why not just give her a new phone, some credit, and a heartfelt apology? It's a shock to her, I'm sure, but I don't think that she will have suffered any lasting damage as a result and therefore I don't consider compensation to be appropriate.

Posted by: Jim of Brisbane 8:56am today

Maybe when the employee started that job she didn't realise the name of the store had nothing to do with what she would be doing as her job lol!!!!!

Posted by: GoGirl of Wollongong 8:55am today

nothing like some amateur shots

Posted by: your mumma 8:48am today

I don't know what she is complaining about. Normally you have to pay to download porn. Surely this is a new marketing ploy.

Posted by: Tango 8:43am today

As silly as the two worker's actions were, they face losing their jobs because one woman couldn't just delete the pictures and move on in life? I just wish Telstra provided the same service as Dick Smith.

Posted by: Jamie of Sydney 8:38am today

But really. What self-respecting female photographs herself performing sexual acts using a phone she stole from work only to sell it as new with the photos still on it? She sounds like a classy/intelligent woman.

Posted by: Tom of Canberra 8:37am today

I bought a used phone of eBay and it was full of sordid pics and messages in the inbox from a few of the people in the pics ... i took a few pics of myself and sent to them in appreciation ... fantastic !!

Posted by: Barney of sydney 8:35am today

why are there no pictures in this article?

Posted by: ben of melbourne 8:31am today

This is not as unheard of as they say!! Working for another mobile phone company a few years ago, we found that another staff member, in a Brisbane store, had used a brand new demo phone to "upskirt" the female customers while he was sitting at the desk talking to them. Obviously he was sacked immediately, but no action was ever taken to stop this growing trend amongst the employees. He was only found out when he was away on sick leave and someone sold the phone to an elderly lady!!! Very sad, especially considering the mobile phone company is touting itself as a great place to work and a family orientated company! This kind of behaviour is popular amongst the employees. It just isn't brought to the publics attention. That's why the Dick Smith spokesperson said "It's practically unheard of".....

Posted by: Liz 8:23am today

Personally (and I'm sure a great percentage of men), I would consider this as a bonus, not a bad thing!

Posted by: A Typical Male of Australia 8:09am today
