Collect wildlife posters

IT all started with a frog.

When The Cairns Post first joined forces with our readers, cairns.com.au and the Australian Rainforest Foundation to help save our frogs earlier this year, we had no idea it would be such a potent partnership.

Weekend wildlife competition

Cairns weird and wonderful animals

Operation Leapfrog – where amateur photographers from around the region entered their favourite frog pictures in a photo competition to raise money for frog conservation – was a resounding success.

Readers loved the idea so much the website almost crashed under the weight of entries in the first weekend alone and the project was later expanded to include reader pictures of other wildlife. Today, we’re proud to launch the first of 12 wildlife posters featuring the best photographs of frogs, mammals, birds, butterflies, reptiles and insects taken by you, our readers.

Each poster also features advice, facts and handy information about the different wildlife, compiled by the team at the Australian Rainforest Foundation in Cairns.

8 Collect the first of our Amazing Wildlife posters free inside The Cairns Post  today. Then collect the remaining 11 posters by presenting the daily token which appears on page 2 to your local newsagent from tomorrow.

Frogs in focus: Special images of fogs headline the first of a 12-part wildlife poster series in The Cairns Post.
