ARE you a bogan and proud of it?

The creators of Fat Pizza and SBS comedy Swift and Shift are making a new program about bogans and Far North Queensland’s finest are wanted for a national "bogan-off’.

"Queensland has to be in the top two states when it comes to bogans. I have done my research and they are falling from the trees in Cairns," producer Paul "Paulie" Fenech said.

"They are taking over the state like cane toads."

Fenech said yesterday the show was best described as "Bogan Idol" and compared himself to David Attenborough.

"I will be hunting them down in their habitat, categorising them and showing them in their fibro shacks.

"They are going to have to have tatts, missing teeth, a lack of underwear, intoxicated, mullet haircuts, and there will be extra points for a criminal record, especially for women."

The team wants bogans of all shapes, sizes and ages including kids, grandads and women.

Edmonton blokes Michael "Kiwi" Murray, Levy "Blueberry" Miller and "Marto" Martin said they loved being bogans.

"I’ve got missing teeth, tats and a mullet," Kiwi said.

"Damn straight I’m a bogan and proud."

Classy blokes: “Marto” Martin, Levy “Blueberry” Miller and Michael “Kiwi” Murray aren’t ashamed to be labelled bogans.
