Man struck by lightning

A MAN struck by lightening at Gordonvale is being assessed by doctors at the Cairns Base Hospital.  

It is believed the 19-year-old was hit about 2pm and treated on scene by paramedics before being taken to the emergency department. 

A hospital spokesman said the man was in a stable condition but it is not yet known if he will be kept overnight for observation.
