Split personality
VELVET Underground hosts Ministry of Sound DJ and producer Klaus Hill this Saturday night from 9pm.
Klaus has two identities – that of a London dance music stalwart and the other as an exciting Australian producer with a unique cutting edge sound.
As a familiar face on Australia’s dance music scene, he has since focused on developing a new musical identity that has helped him make a name for himself internationally.
Klaus’ single Bang That Thing! was picked up for the Maximum Bass 4 compilation, while Boombaclart was picked up by elite international DJs such as Plump DJs, Trevor Loveys, AJAX, Jesse Rose and Switch.
House, techno and breaks are all in the big man’s production armoury, with a sound that has developed into a blend of tough beats, booty house and booming sub bass.
