ANOTHER man in a motorised wheelchair has been charged with drink-driving in the Cairns area.

Police nabbed the 33-year-old when they were called to a disturbance at a restaurant at the Pullman Reef Hotel Casino on Wharf St about 8.30pm last night.

He allegedly tried to leave without paying for dinner.

Police tried to breath-test the man but he refused to provide a sample.

He was charged with one count each of leaving a hotel without paying, contravening a direction, disorderly conduct in a licensed premises, drink-driving and failing to supply a specimen of breath.

He will appear in Cairns Magistrates' Court on January 23.

The charge comes after a 62-year-old man was caught more than six times of the legal limit while driving his motorised scooter on the Captain Cook Highway near Aeroglen in June.
