Stunning beauty
Great view: Mike from Redlynch's view on his drive home.
Mike from Redlynch lets us know why he loves living in Cairns so much...
Manificent coastline shrouded in rainforest.
I cannot think of another place in Australia and perhpaps the world where you can sit in any major shopping mall Food Court and enjoy the view of World Heritage listed rainforest clad mountains.
The stunning beauty of this place is such a big part of our daily lives. I for one cant help but feel lucky to be able to live here, we get to experience what most other people only dream of and may even take it for granted at times!
I drive to work through the canefields and I feel miles away from anywhere yet I am less tha 3 minutes from suburbia!
After 10 years I still enjoy the drive home from work, the stress of work eased by the view a therapy that others would pay for!
Where else can you be living in suburbia and drive 5 mins in either direction and be swimming in crystal clear water under the rainforest canopy like Stony Creek, Lake Placid or Crystal Cascades...
All complimented by the Atherton Tablelands, Daintree, Cape Tribulation and places like Etty Bay & Mission Beach.
Not to mention the Islands... all within a short drive.
You cant help but love it here!
