Croc's head kept on ice near Innisfail
POLICE have seized a crocodile head from a freezer and charged a man with taking a protected animal and unlawfully keeping a protected animal at Cowley, south of Innisfail.
Detectives found the head of a saltwater croc at a Cowley home, south of Innisfail, while executing a search warrant.
The frozen head is about 50cm long.
A Cowley man, 35, has also been charged with producing a dangerous drug, possessing a dangerous drug and possessing an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
Police found 40g of cannabis leaf and seed and 24 seedlings at the property, along with a .22 rifle and ammunition.
The man is due to face Innisfail Magistrate’s Court on June 9.
