Andre split: I couldn't trust my wife
AUSTRALIAN pop singer and regular Cairns visitor Peter Andre ended his marriage to glamour model wife Katie Price because he could not always trust her to be faithful.
The celebrity couple, who had been married for nearly four years and often visited family in the Far North, announced their split on Monday.
Britain’s tabloids were filled with stories about the pair on Tuesday, with The Sun reporting Andre dumped his model turned author wife after seeing pictures of her drunk in a nightclub cosying up to another man.

"There’s nobody I feel threatened by when she’s sober. But if she’s drinking I know she’s capable of anything," he said.
"The devil gets inside her and she’s a nightmare. I trust her when she’s sober but I don’t trust her when she’s drinking."
Price, better known as Jordan from her topless modelling days, has left the couple’s UK home in Surrey with their three children.
Andre, a famous fan of Twitter, has been quiet online since the announcement of the split.
In his last tweet on May 10, he talked about "junior" (one of his children) and referred to an awards night he went to with "Kate".
