THE man mountain and the man faced off in front of the basketball fraternity on Friday night.
Anthony "The Man" Mundine and 206cm rookie NBA player Nathan Jawai were special guests at the Hoop Dreaming Blitz Charity Dinner at the Cairns Colonial Club resort.
The pair shared their wisdom on basketball and boxing at the dinner, which was held in partnership with Cairns cancer group COUCH to help raise funds for an oncology unit in the Far North.
Mundine did all his talking at the dinner, while Jawai lined up for the Hoop Dreaming basketball team at the Bendigo Bank Basketball Centre on Saturday.

Jawai thrilled fans with some spectacular moves in the charity match against the Cairns Marlins.
Jawai, who will head off to Toronto next month for NBA preparations, said he was lured to the charity initiative after missing out last year.
"I was overseas preparing for the NBA draft when last year’s inaugural game was played, so I was a bit disappointed that I missed out playing with the boys and especially ‘Hodgo’ (Justin Hodges)," Jawai said.
