BATTEN down the hatches: Cairns' biggest outdoor live music event is back and better than ever in 2009.

The Cairns Post is proud to announce that this year’s timeOUT Concert will be held on August 29 at Fogarty Park on The
Esplanade.

Headlining this year’s bill will be Australia’s favourite hip-hop group The Hilltop Hoods – back by popular demand.

Also in the lineup are legendary Oz-rockers Grinspoon, and, for the first time in Cairns, riveting blues-rock duo The Fumes.

The massive event will also feature the best of the local crop, with two winners to be chosen from the timeOUT Battle Of The Bands events at Gilligan’s in July and August.

As in past years, readers will be able to get their hands on a free ticket by simply collecting 12 tokens and attaching it to the entry form in The Cairns Post starting on July 25.

Then just drop into The Cairns Post front office before August 14 and you’re in business.

So get cracking, spread the word, and help make the
2009 timeOUT Concert the best yet.
