DESPERATE Housewives star Teri Hatcher and Packed to the Rafters star Rebecca Gibney have both been spotted holidaying in Port Douglas in the past week.

Local residents reported seeing the Gold Logie winner Rebecca Gibney and former Lois Lane, Teri Hatcher, in the seaside tourist town.

Hatcher was in Australia to attend the Australian premiere of animated feature Coraline last week.

She and her daughter Emerson, 11, climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge before attending the red carpet event at the Sydney Film Festival.

Former Flying Doctor Gibney, the matriarch on the TV hit Packed to the Rafters, recently revealed a struggle with depression and agoraphobia.

Port Douglas, north of Cairns, is home to a number of luxury resorts and restaurants and is a popular destination among celebrities.

Other recently sighted visitors include Paul Roos, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Kylie Minogue.
