Uni takes time out for show

THE 2009 timeOUT Concert is shaping up to be better than ever, with James Cook University signing on as headline sponsors for the event.

The timeOUT concert is on Saturday, August 29, at Fogarty Park on the Esplanade.

This year, it will be headlined by Australia’s No.1 hip-hop act Hilltop Hoods, fresh off the back of news that their latest release State of the Art has debuted at No.1 on the ARIA Australian Albums Charts.

Also featuring are legendary Oz rockers Grinspoon, who will present tracks from their highly anticipated new album Six To Midnight, and hot new blues-rock duo The Fumes.

Two local bands will get the chance to take the big stage at the concert through the 2009 Battle of the Bands, held over four weekends at Gilligan’s in July and August.
