Prison swine flu spreads
TWO more prisoners at Mareeba's Lotus Glen correctional centre have been diagnosed with swine flu.
A 22-year-old offender and a 35-year-old inmate yesterday tested positive to the H1N1 virus.
Prisoners have been denied family visits as Queensland Health tries to control the spread of the virus.
Almost 70 inmates, assessed by health authorities last week, will not be able to see family, friends, chaplains and education providers.
The latest two diagnoses follow that of a 34-year-old inmate last week.
Queensland Health and Lotus Glen Correction Centre could not say when the lockdown on family visits would be lifted.
