Jawai turns Maverick
THE NBA's Bamaga behemoth Nathan Jawai has a new team, after the Toronto Raptors traded him to the Dallas Mavericks overnight.
The former Cairns Taipan was one of several players to switch teams under the four-team trade announced early this morning.

The first indigenous Australian to play in the NBA, he played only six games for the Raptors in his debut season after missing a large part of the season when tests picked up a heart irregularity.
