A BABINDA man has been charged after a crash at Mt Sheridan that killed an Edmonton woman.

The 45-year-old man will appear in the Cairns Magistrates' Court in September to face charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, as well as drink driving.

The man was yesterday issued with a notice to appear in court as a result of investigations into a fatal traffic crash at Mt Sheridan in November 2008.

Police will allege the man was driving a semi trailer which collided with a sedan at the intersection of the Bruce Highway and Foster Rd on November 14, resulting in the death of a 47-year-old Edmonton mother-of-four Jaye Anne Leigh Maunder.
