PM's wife leaves hospital
UPDATE: Therese Rein does not believe last night's fish dish caused the stomach pains that led her to spend the night in hospital.
Ms Rein spent the night in Cairns Base Hospital with a stomach complaint.
A spokesman for Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's office said tests were carried out on the virus overnight.
Ms Rein ate the same fish dish as other members of the Pacific Islands Forum delegation at a function at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park last night and no other members of the party have reported any illness.
Mr Rudd arrived at the hospital about 8.40am this morning and spent 15 minutes inside before walking out arm-in-arm with Ms Rein.

When asked how she was feeling, Ms Rein replied: "Fabulous."
Ms Rein had just returned from climbing Tanzania’s gruelling Mt Kilimanjaro.
She declined to comment on how sick she was or what had caused the complaint.
Mr Rudd said the health scare was not overly serious.
"It is one of these things that happen in life but everything is fine," he said.
Mr Rudd said he spent most of the night with Ms Rein before returning to the hospital this morning.
He thanked staff who had aided Ms Rein during the night, describing the treatment as “great”.
“She is being well-treated and the usual battery of tests has been completed. She’s in fine spirits and good nick,” he told ABC Radio earlier.
Mr Rudd and Health and Ageing Minister Nicola Roxon will take a Cairns Base Hospital tour and open a one-hour forum on the future direction of health services today.
Ms Rein has been leading the spouses' program as part of the Pacific Islands Forum.
