The site, Troppos Lounge on Norman Reef, is one of 19 sites that dive operator Deep Sea Divers Den visits during trips from Cairns.
The couple met while diving in Thailand in early 2008, so it was a scuba dive wedding was a natural choice.
"We dive every weekend on the Great Barrier Reef," Martin said.
"We wanted to do something special for our wedding and this was something we love to do."
The couple honeymooned with a short stay at a local resort and longer trip on the Divers Den liveaboard, OceanQuest.
Martin has lived in Cairns for the past 10 years and says he and Thassanee were happy to settle here as they love the lifestyle.
"Cairns has a great climate and anything that anyone could look for - restaurants, shopping, and if you want to cool down you can go to the Tableland for the weekend," he said.
