Silver screen goes green at Mission Beach
Movies on Mission: Suzanne Peck and Eliot Brand on Mission Beach.
QUIRKY stories, incredible individuals and inspired communities will unite when the Mission Beach Film Festival brings the silver screen to the seaside holiday haven next month.
Situated between World Heritage Rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef and island-studded Coral Sea, Mission Beach will present films to entertain and inspire us to protect the natural world we live in.
The green-themed festival runs from November 6 to 7.
Movie-goers can stroll along one of the prettiest stretches of tropical coastline from the C4 Theatrette to Castaways Resort and Spa, or hop on a boat to catch a fish and a screening at Dunk Island.
Along with films, the Mission Beach Film Festival will feature a showcase of still images of the Cassowary Coast region.
The Mission Beach Film Festival is also initiating a revegetation project through the planting of 1000 trees in the local region.
